Dr. Damian L. Black, DMD, MS, FACP
Dentist and Board Certified Prosthodontist
I was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in South Florida. I attended undergraduate college and dental school for my Bachelor of Science (BS) and Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degrees, respectively, in the dual admissions program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After obtaining my DMD in 2010, I commissioned as a captain in the Air Force and completed a 1-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD-1) at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. Afterwards, I completed a 3-year specialty residency in prosthodontics at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas in 2015. At the same time, I obtained my Master of Science (MS) degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. I then had the honor of serving as part of the dental team for five years at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia.
In my spare time, I indulge in fitness and wellness. I also love to explore thrilling experiences such as hiking, skydiving (indoors), zip lining, traveling with friends, and enjoying rollercoasters for the kid in me!
Dr. Catherine Baitinger, DMD
I was born and raised in New Jersey. I moved to Gainesville, Florida to attend University of Florida where I earned both my Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nutritional Sciences and my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, respectively, in the dual admissions program.
I am committed to a lifelong education in dentistry, and I have already completed over 50 hours of continuing education while in dental school. I received my Botox certification for management of orofacial pain and headaches. I am a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Association of Women Dentists, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. I have traveled throughout the country to study and attend continuing education conferences where I have learned from cutting-edge leaders in dental science, materials, and technology.
Pursuing a profession in dentistry has been a lifelong dream. Beyond connecting with my patients and listening to what their overall goal is as a patient of Baylee, I am passionate about the transformation dentistry can have on them. My treatment goal is ensuring total patient comfort and relaxation while utilizing the most modern dental techniques and materials available.
As an avid sports fan, you can always strike up a conversation with me about Gator sports, baseball or golf. I also enjoy traveling the world and trying new food. So, if you have a good restaurant or golf course recommendation, please let me know! In my free time, I also enjoy running and visiting the theme parks, especially Disney. I have completed many races at Disney, including 4 marathons. Overall, I am ecstatic to join the team at Baylee Dental and will continue the tradition of clinical excellence and compassionate care.
Mrs. Christene (Chrissy) Geller
I was born and raised in south Florida and bring over 16 years of clinical and administrative dental experience to Baylee Dental. I attended Broward College and Nova Southeastern University. I initially started in dentistry as a front desk administrator in a pediatric dental practice. I moved into Endodontics as both a front desk administrator, assistant manager, and dental assistant. I then moved into periodontics where I started as the doctor's only surgical dental assistant and grew into the office manager role. I now am the practice administrator for Baylee Dental and that same periodontal practice. I have trained extensively and continuously attend training in practice management, team building, customer relations and human resources. I am very dedicated to the practice and strive to always make the practice and our team even better.
I love spending time with my son and husband as well as friends and extended family. I am handy and enjoy home improvement projects. I love the ocean and during lobster season, I dive for lobster.
We want to introduce Shelley our Patient Coordinator and newest member of the Baylee Team. Shelley served 13 years as a dental assistant in the Air Force. She was stationed in Alaska, Utah, Oklahoma and Okinawa, Japan.
She enjoys ATV motocross, photography and graphic design. She is married with 11 year old daughter and two cats, Cinnamon and Sugar. Shelley will be here to greet you with a smile on your next appointment.
Ruby has been in the dental field for 41/2 years. Very outgoing and always up for a new adventure. She loves seeing the patient leave with a smile.
Originally from Tulua, Colombia and relocated to Ocala with her family.
She is proud to be a American citizen and Graduated from the College of Central Florida as a healthcare aide.
She has two boys, 2 and 8.
She likes to play soccer, go out ot eat, travel to different countries and spend quality time with her family.
Born in Cincinnati, OH, Cindi lived in Highland Heights, KY before relocating to Florida. She started in the field of dentistry in 1983 and has enjoyed working in dental offices through the years. Cindi started with Baylee Dental in 2010. She keeps the clinical team on time while abiding by strict OSHA guidelines. She enjoys traveling boating, dancing and watching Florida Gator football games. Go Gators! Her cat Caylee was rescued in Baylee Plaza in 2011.
Certified Dental Assistant
Born in Florida and returning after moving to Tennessee, Melissa lives in Reddick, FL. Though Reddick is roughly 45 minutes away, she considers the travel time “worth it” to work at Baylee Dental. Melissa graduated from Central Florida Community College as a Certified Dental Assistant and has been working for Dr. Cayia since 1997. She loves everything about Dentistry. Mother of two, Melissa is an avid reader, exercises daily, and is involved in many church functions. Her favorite singers are George Strait and Jon Bon Jovi and she loves the color pink.
Certified Dental Assistant
Melissa worked at Baylee Dental for three years and moved back to Ohio for a short time. She has now relocated back to Ocala and Baylee Dental. She enjoys fishing and a good fitness workout. Although you may know her as our Certified Dental Assistant, Melissa also is a Patient Coordinator when needed. Her oldest son, Ronnie won the Ocala MMA Championship. Her son, Cory was accepted and attending the the Ocala Fire Academy this year. She is also proud grandmother of two beautiful grandsons. Melissa started back with Baylee Dental in 2011.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Born in Miami, Stacy moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Ocala and began working for Baylee Dental in 2005. Graduating from Broward County Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2002. Stacy wanted a rewarding career that would allow her to work part-time and be a stay at home mother. While continuing to work part-time, she has taken some time off adding to her family a boy and girl. In her spare time she helps her husband with their Lawn & Landscaping business.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Florida Native born and raised in Belleview, She was introduced to dentistry in the Army Reserve in 1999. She was employed by a Correction Center as a Certified Dental Assistant before entering college. Nicole graduated from Santa Fe Community College in 2001 with her degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been with Baylee Dental since 2007. Nicole lives in Belleview with her husband, a fire fighter and their daughter.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Born in Columbia, SC. As an army dependent grew up living in many different states and Germany. Moved to Florida in 1982. Earned a degree in Dental Hygiene in 1981. Favorite activities include singing in the church choir, watching NASCAR and NFL football with her husband along with her rescued cat, Sweet Pea and dog Bear. Started at Baylee Dental 2015.
Ceason Tenee Jones
Registered Dental Assistant
Ceason graduated from dental assisting school on the President's List with a 4.0 grade from Vista College. She sought a dental office to work in that incorporated professionalism with a bit of fun. She enjoys meeting new people and making them feel at home at Baylee Dental. She loves spending time with her family, new baby Love, son Asa and fiancee Reason. They enjoy outdoor activities such as kayaking, fishing, jet skiing, and snorkling. Ceason is also a gifted singer so if she is your dental assistant, ask her to serenade you!
